Limited Security Agent Authorization (SAA v1.0)

This Limited Security Agent Authorization forms part of Client's security service agreement with Tristate Security Patrol. It authorizes Tristate Security Patrol to act as Client's security representative at the listed premises for security purposes only.

Authorization of Security Agent

By entering into this Agreement, Client represents that Client is the owner, lawful tenant, property manager, or other person or entity having sufficient authority over the protected premises to grant the authorization contained herein.

Client hereby designates Tristate Security Patrol, its authorized supervisors, and security personnel assigned to the premises as Client's authorized security agents solely for purposes reasonably related to providing the contracted security services.

Subject to applicable law, Client authorizes such personnel, while acting within the scope of their assigned security duties, to:

  • Monitor and patrol the protected premises.
  • Enforce Client's lawful property access and security policies.
  • Determine whether individuals have authorization to enter or remain on the premises based upon Client-provided rules, access lists, post orders, and instructions.
  • Direct unauthorized persons to leave the premises.
  • Communicate lawful trespass warnings or orders to leave on Client's behalf where legally permitted.
  • Contact NYPD or other appropriate law enforcement agencies concerning suspected criminal activity, trespassing, theft, vandalism, property damage, disturbances, or other security incidents.
  • Identify themselves to law enforcement as authorized security representatives of Client for the protected premises.
  • Make reports or complaints to law enforcement concerning incidents witnessed, discovered, or documented in connection with the security services, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Provide incident reports, photographs, video, body-worn camera footage, access records, witness information, and other relevant evidence to law enforcement when legally permitted.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and prosecuting authorities regarding security incidents involving the protected premises.
  • Request removal of unauthorized persons from the premises when legally permitted.
  • Take other reasonable security-related actions specifically authorized by Client's post orders or written instructions and permitted by applicable law.

Important Limitation of Authority

This authorization is strictly limited to security-related activities. Nothing in this Agreement grants Tristate Security Patrol or any of its personnel:

  • Ownership interest in the property
  • Tenancy
  • Leasehold rights
  • Possessory rights independent of the security assignment
  • Property management authority
  • Authority to sell, lease, mortgage, transfer, or encumber the property
  • General financial authority
  • General Power of Attorney
  • Authority to enter contracts on behalf of Client except where separately authorized in writing
  • Any other property interest

Role and Law Enforcement Discretion

Tristate Security Patrol is acting solely as Client's contracted security provider and authorized security representative.

Nothing in this authorization guarantees that law enforcement will make an arrest, issue a summons, file charges, or pursue prosecution. All law enforcement and prosecutorial decisions remain with the appropriate governmental authorities.

Covered Premises

This authorization applies only to the properties expressly listed in the property schedule of this executed agreement. It does not extend to any property that is not listed.

Term and Termination

This authorization remains effective only while the applicable security service agreement is active for the listed property, or until the authorization is revoked or terminated in accordance with the agreement. When security services for a property terminate, the authorization for that property becomes inactive.

Client Representation

I represent that I am the property owner or otherwise have lawful authority to authorize Tristate Security Patrol to perform security services and exercise the limited security authority described in this Agreement at the listed property.

Effective while your service agreement is active for the listed property, until revoked or terminated. Authorization is marked inactive when service for that property ends.
