Event security in New York City.

Event security is the team at the door, in the room, and on the radio for a gathering that has a start time and an end time. Tristate Security Patrol already lists event security for crowd management, access control, and VIP handling, from private gatherings to larger productions, with one point of contact.

Call 347-991-0121 with the date, the headcount you expect, and the address. The company is based at 5314 16th Avenue, Suite 238, Brooklyn, NY 11204. A monthly patrol plan does not staff a wedding.

For most standard posts, uniformed officers are scheduled within 24–48 hours. Emergency coverage is coordinated through 24/7 dispatch.

What we provide

What event security actually does.

People ask what event security does because the phrase covers very different nights. A private dinner needs a door list and a calm person in a suit or a blazer. A hall with several hundred guests needs bag check, a plan for the street, and enough officers that one medical call does not empty the doors. A fundraiser with a speaker needs a path from the car to the room.

The company’s public profile also mentions parties, bars and clubs, venues, and festivals. Those are different risk levels. Bars need people who can refuse entry without starting a fight. Festivals need a command setup. Tell us which night you are planning. We will not paste a festival plan onto a living-room party.

Access control

Lists, wristbands, or tickets, and a clear rule for who gets turned away.

Crowd management

Where people queue, where they cannot stand, and who watches the exits.

VIP handling

A separate path when a host or guest needs it, without turning the whole room into a motorcade.

Coordination

One supervisor the planner can call, instead of five officers with five instructions.

On the ground

Brooklyn halls are not Midtown ballrooms, and this page does not pretend they are.

A large share of private events in the company’s home borough happen in catering halls, school gyms, synagogues, and rented lofts. The street is often a residential block with no loading dock. The security plan has to include where cars stop and where neighbors will complain if the sidewalk is blocked. The Brooklyn event page goes further into that setting.

Queens, NY and Bronx events can be quoted from this service. Long Island and New Jersey events can be quoted too. This first batch does not add a separate event page for each of them. Name the venue address so the team is planned for that room, not for a generic “NYC event.”

No venue is listed here as a client, and no attendance number is claimed. If you have a floor plan, send it with the quote.

Local rules

Permits stay with the organizer. Officers stay in their role.

A public street closure, a sound permit, or a liquor license is the organizer’s filing, not something a security company pulls at the door. Officers can staff the plan you were approved for. They should not be asked to stretch a private party into a street festival that was never permitted.

Event officers working in New York need New York security guard registration. Armed event posts add the armed credentials on the armed page. Many private events are unarmed on purpose. Alcohol service does not, by itself, mean the post should be armed.

Credentials

Licensed officers, documented work.

Founded in 2021. Event teams are scheduled for the hours you book. The 24–48 hour line is for most standard posts. A large event needs more lead time than that because the headcount drives the roster. Say the date early.

24/7 dispatch remains available if a plan changes the night of the event. That is a phone line, not a spare team sitting in a van for every booking.

Pricing

What is published, and what is quoted.

Event security cost is quoted from guest count, hours, armed or unarmed, and whether you need a supervisor. Nothing on the plans page is an event price. The cost guide explains that distinction.

Questions

Answers, in plain language.

What does event security do?

They control the door, watch the crowd and the exits, follow the guest list, and give the planner one person to call. The exact posts depend on the room and the headcount.

Do you cover private event security in NYC?

Yes. Private gatherings are part of the event service. Send the venue address, the date, and the expected size.

How much does event security cost?

It is quoted per event. Guest count, hours, and armed or unarmed status change the number. Monthly patrol prices are a different product.

Can the team be armed?

If the event calls for it and the officers hold New York armed credentials. Many private events stay unarmed.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as the date is real. Most standard posts are scheduled within 24–48 hours, but a large roster should not be left to the day before.
