What we provide

Security work Brooklyn properties actually ask for.

Brooklyn blocks are not one building type. A two-family house on a numbered street, a synagogue or yeshiva, a storefront on a commercial avenue, and a job site with an open sidewalk all need different posts. The services below are the ones people ask for by name.

Community Patrol is the shared monthly option for homes. A stationed officer is for a door, a lobby, a site gate, or an event. Fire watch is for a specific FDNY condition, not a general night shift.

Armed security in Brooklyn

Officers who hold a New York armed-guard registration for posts where the property wants a firearm on duty.

Fire watch and fire guard

Impairment watches under F-01 rules and torch operations that call for an F-60 fire guard.

Construction sites

After-hours presence, access logs, and fire watch when hot work is underway on a Brooklyn build.

Private events

Door teams for halls, school gatherings, and celebrations, separate from a monthly patrol plan.

Community patrol

Marked cars and a minimum number of documented checks for homes that share a route.

Schools and yeshivas

Private-school and yeshiva coverage for arrival, dismissal, and visitors. This is not NYPD school safety.

On the ground

Borough Park streets, avenues, and job sites.

11204 sits in Borough Park, a neighborhood of attached houses, small apartment buildings, synagogues, yeshivas, and busy commercial avenues such as 16th Avenue. That mix is why a single “Brooklyn guard” package does not fit. A house on a residential block is usually a patrol membership. A school or a hall is a post with arrival times. A renovation with torches is a fire guard assignment tied to the hot-work permit.

Elsewhere in the borough the building stock changes: larger apartment houses, warehouse blocks, hospital campuses, and construction that closes a sidewalk. Tristate’s industry list already includes apartment communities, religious organizations, schools, retail, construction, and hospitals. Brooklyn pages use those categories. They do not name a client, a route, or a block as active unless you have enrolled it.

New Community Patrol areas still follow the rule already on the plans page: a new area activates at a 10-home minimum, unless patrols are already operating there. Registering a home is not the same thing as a car on that street tonight.

Local rules

FDNY fire guard rules apply in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn is in New York City, so fire watch is an FDNY matter. When a required sprinkler, standpipe, or fire alarm is out of service, NYC Fire Code section 901.7.2.2 requires a fire watch. For the first four hours, and only when the affected area is 50,000 square feet or less, the impairment coordinator or a trained person the owner designates may conduct it. After four hours, the patrol is by fire guards with the F-01 Certificate of Fitness. Each affected area is patrolled at least hourly, and one guard’s area is not supposed to exceed 50,000 square feet.

Torch work is different. FDNY’s F-60 certificate is the fire guard credential for torch operations at construction sites, on rooftops and torch-applied roofing, and where the person using the torch holds a citywide torch permit. The fire watch runs during the work and for at least 30 minutes after it stops. A guard may also be required on floors below when sparks can drop.

Security officers themselves register with the New York Department of State. Training schools are approved by DCJS. An armed post adds a New York pistol license and the 47-hour firearms course for security guards.

Pricing

What is published, and what is quoted.

Brooklyn homes can use the published Community Patrol prices, from $159 a month for the Essential plan. Brooklyn businesses can use Commercial Patrol from $399 a month. Those prices buy documented mobile checks, not a guard standing at a door all night.

Armed posts, fire watch, construction posts, events, and school coverage are quoted. The cost guide explains why an hourly rate is not listed.
